The article deals with the folklore researches expressed in the work of Georgians writer Giorgi Shatberashvili: "Giorgi Saakadze in Peoples' Memory", "Kviria - Tsiskari", "Meskhuri Supruli" and other. In principal the writer collected some legends about Giorgi Saakadze in the Kartli villages and applied remarkable considerations regarding mentioned historical hero. G. Shatberashvili, after Iv. Javakhishvili, was one of the first who on the basis of folk legends presents the ancient Geprgian divinity Kviria. There is also described the writer's travel to Meskheti, where he record the samples of folk oral speech, notable from which is the legend connected to Khertvisi fortress and several versions of "Meskhuri Supruli" poems.
