Depression leads reduced interest toward sexual activities or lack of it that appears like sexual disorders. Research¢s goal is establishing the level of depression in males with male erectile dysfunction and finding personality traits linked to psychogenic and somatogenic sexual dysfunctions. The aim also is to find out depression level changes depending on either psychogenic or somatogenic sexual dysfunctions. There were 64 males aged 25-45 (15 of them with psychogenic and 17 with somatogenic erectile dysfunctions and 32 controls without any problems in sexual functioning). There were studied psychological parameters such as depression, reactive and personal anxiety, locus of control and personality traits. Research suggests that males with erectile dysfunctions were attributed (compeer with controls) moderate depression, high level of personal anxiety, low reactive anxiety, narcissism and dependent. Beside this, males with psychogenic sexual dysfunction were attributed increased depression and males with somatogenic sexual dysfunction were attributed obsessive-compulsive.
