At the present stage there is conferred a special importance to protection of legality and strengthening of the public order. Successful realization of this problem, its highly reasonable decision constitutes the basic purpose of the activities of today's authorities. For today the main task is realization of a hard work for protection of the order in country, so that each citizen everywhere and always would obey to the laws and ruthlessly struggle against infringers of the law. In the struggle against illegal actions the special part belongs to police. The basic weight of the struggle against criminality is assigned to police, but without the help of the publicity it will be too complex for it to cope with the problem. The analysis, given in the present article, confirms that in the attitude of the society to police the major factor is the police itself. The police itself should reduce its spatial distance with the population, as much as it is possible.
