The paper considers the unknown publicistic letters of Alexandre Kazbegi, which are preserved in the fund of Alexandre Kazbegi of the Korneli Kekelidze Institute of Manuscripts, are not published till today and are not included in the complete collections of the writer published in 1948-1950.
The paper presents nine publicistic letters, all of which have no dates. The letters deal mainly with the problems connected with theatrical activity, the period of appearance of Kazbegi on the literary arena. The letters tell us of the activity and the duty of a writer and of the "upbringing and education of our children" - future generation. The letters are of polemic character.
The work considers two letters, in which Kazbegi used the verses to express his personal surprise towards society, the society from which the writer often received abundantly abusing words, but he was never scared. He served the matter of revival of Georgian culture tiredly by all his creative might.
