From 1950's started a new stage of development in the history of Georgian scenery art. The major tendencies of this period national theatre design are presented thought the scenery of ancient plays created by Georgian artists. (P. Lapiashvili, I. Sumbatashvili, "Sameuli"). Its analyses shown that theatre artists rejected specific, daily elements of design and applied conditional abstract methods of stage planning. This artistic means established in Georgian scenography acquired significant importance for the further progress of national scenery art.
