Tbilisi and Phirosmani appear to be the creative impulse of not one artist. This picturesque theme got the proper position in N. Ignatov's creation. The artist created the various variations on the mentioned motive. One of them, pictorial picture "Missing Phirosmani" decorates Funicular banquet hall and the second is the model of machine graphics from the series "Old Tbilisi" by name.
Pictorial picture was speared on the whole wall of banquet hall. Noisy City, labyrinth old streets with workshops, stores, stalls and plenty of persons are described on it. Phirosmani is the center of the composition.
On the graphic picture "Old Tbilisi" Phirosmani sits at the table among the "kintos" and women.
From the masterships one can distinguish poet nature of the artists and tenderness. In the pictorial picture, in the intensive color he writes the plastic form of the figure. He intends to generalization, when modeling the figures it carefully addresses deformation of the forms. And in graphic picture setting up the picture plays an important part, feeling of form and silhouette. The essential is the moment of sculpturing the form and space, which is maintained the Indian ink and pen and by free spreading of strokes creates the huge effect.
I think, with the previous works N. Ignatov created a new face-image of Phirosmani epoch and showed his own position towards the universe by this way.
