In the article the murder of great Georgian writer and public figure Ilia Chavchavadze is discussed. Ilia was murdered on August 30, 1907. It is indicated that the revolutionary parties of 1905-1907 and Georgian So-cial-Democrats among them widely used terror for achieving their political aims.

It is mentioned that the murder of Ilia was organized by a person being in close relations with Social-Democrats, the estate manager of Ilia - D. Jashi. It is incorrect to accuse Jashi as if he was "Okhraka" agent in 1907. It is documentary confirmed in the given work that Jashi had no contacts with political police until April 1909.

Terrorist methods and means, also the scheme of murdering the undesirable persons by Social-democrats are analyzed in this article. There is made the comparative analysis between such murders and the murder of Ilia as well.

In the article there is given the Agent Pseudonym of D. Jashi and it is proved that he became the agent of political police in the party of Social-Federalists in 1909. It is also mentioned that according to "Okhranka" materials he worked as "Okhranka" agent in the field of counter-espionage in 1909-1911.

The talking is about the first investigator of Ilia's murder Iliashenko in the article as well. It is proved that he guided the case of Ilia's murder quite tendentiously. The fact that he became the member of Inspection Committee of Tbilisi Regional Court and Tbilisi Civil Militia is indicated in the article. And he was appointed as an office manager in the Inspection Committee of Southern Osseti at the very period of Bolsheviks enter in 1921.

Finally there is made a conclusion that "Okhranka" had no role in the murder of Ilia.
