The paper addresses the socio-psychological analysis of the coach's activity in the effective work of a sports team of adolescents. For the purpose of determining the degree of similarity of the evaluations made by the couch and the team and determining correlation between variables of effectiveness of the team, the analysis of the research made on the basis of sociometry and questionnaires enables to identify various determinants of social perception. Namely, it has been observed that effectiveness of the coach's work is related to the degree of similarity between the evaluations of the coach and the teams in the instrumental sphere of sporting activity and the latter variable comes in correlation with team effectiveness.

Relationship has been established between a coach's active work and cohesion in the team.
