The letter "Today's Georgian Spirituality as Reflected in Literatue" written by Grigol Peradze is discussed in the article. This is the only work concerning Georgian literature of the 20th century.
The scientist, who lived abroad, was concerned in spirituality of his countrymen, that is the best reflected in literature. According to the samples of writing published in the journal "Mnatobi" during 1926-31 he analyses literary processes going on in Georgia during 1920-30 years: the influence of Soviet ideology in literature, fetishism of the technics, hostile attitude to church and religion.
Grigol Peradze used to admit very important remarks about various writers and their works, literary and social problems and at last about the attitude to the Church in Soviet Georgia.
