The paper considers the problem of religious tolerance in thr Middle Ages and Early Modern Time. To start with, I consider Byzantine in the specter of religious tolerance; consider the situation in Islamic world and Judaism. On the basis of the general review of western and oriental material I formulate briefly the situation in the world of Georgian culture of the Middle Ages with the view of tolerance. Latin west of middle ages offers us some examples of human tolerance and, more seldom, those of religious tolerance. Approximately similar is the situation in Islamic world, although here the examples of religious tolerance naturally are rare. Idea of religious tolerance in the Latin west becomes dominant from the epoch of renaissance. Byzantine offers examples of religious tolerance comparatively rarely. Georgian knightly novel, "Amirandarejaniani" by Moses Khoneli, "Knight in the Panther's Skin" by Rustaveli offer us the form of human and religious tolerance, which is rare not only in the Middle Ages but in Modern Times too. Here the limit between the nations and religions is wiped. Muslim personages with the formal point of view, observe Georgian chivalry code. These universal persons worship one Christian-Muslim-Neo-Platonic God.
