In parallel with other religions the activation of Islam on the Caucasus is mentioned in the research paper. The political activity of Islam among Caucasian nations (Chechnya, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and etc.) in the form of its fundamentally radical movement– Vahabizm represents the particular interest for Georgia. The paper reveals the consequences of the activity of Vahabism resulting in destabilization of the political situation in the region, conflict between generations and other negative phenomena having negative influence on the life in our country.
