The article is about one of the most ancient, expensive and highly artistic type of art - Plique-a-jour.

We can be proud for it, because plique-a-jour exists in our ancestors' cultural achievement as an expression of the highest intelligence of the Georgian people. The very difficulty of the technological process of the creation caused astonishment and amazement in us, which kept and brought these artistic creations throughout the centuries and which unfortunately was lost from the 16^th century and disappeared without trace.

Today several scientists and amateurs get interested in this field of art. They try to restore it and make it an active art again.

The given article aims at promoting popularization of plique-a-jour and making professionals or dilettantes interested in it.
