There is discussed a play "Berdo Zmania" by Sandro Shanshiashvili in the article, in the context of modernistic directions, especially of symbolism and expressionism and presented its interpretation on the Georgian drama stage, Here is also discussed the play "Berdo Zmania", as the starting stage of modernistic investigations of a producer Akhmeteli's creative work, its role and importance in the formation of theater and introduction of new aesthetics at the theater.
