The article deals with methods of theoretical and practical teaching of the essentials of professional written English and is intended for Georgian students of the Faculty of History. The function of a work is:
- to give the general principles of teaching professional written English;
- to give and explain some teaching techniques that practising teachers have found useful; to give suggestions on how to deal with, expand and drill the material presented in the textbook "English for History and Art students".
