Ecological Review of the Caucasian Bumble-Bees
(Hymenoptera, Apoidea)

The goal of the study was the investigation of the nutrition of Caucasian bumble-bees. It was founded out that each of she-bumble bees collects nectar and dust from the plants of the same species, ignoring the neighboring plant in blossom. Each she-bumble-bee or a labour bumble-bee manages to collect the nectar and dust from 10 to 20 flowers or 30-45 flowers within one in florescence in minute.

The Caucasian bumble-bees collect nutrition on the flowers of 38-39 families of plants, of 200 genera and about 1000 species.
