Professor Tevzadze, a distinguished scholar, outstending philosopher, Vice-President of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Chair of History Of Philosophy of the Tbilisi State University named after I. Javakhishvili is 70 years old.
Tevzadze has the full right to be proud of his life. His numerous works are pride of the Georgian philosophy. Grateful pupils represent a new generation of the Georgian philosophers.
After the ending of the philosophical faculty and postgraduate study of the Tbilisi State University in 1969 Tevzadze protected the thesis for a doctor's degree on a theme " The Theory of Knowledge of German Neo-Kantianism". Since this period, Tevzadze works in Institute of Philosophy of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, at the Tbilisi State University where after K. Bakradze's deaths heads the Chair of History of Philosophy.
But nevertheless, the main thing of the biography of Tevzadze are his works. Especially it is necessary to note the following: "The Criticism of Ontology of Nikolay Hartmann" (1967), "Immanuil Kant" (1974, in Russian), "The History of Philosophy of 20th century " (2002).
Also we have to mention translations and comments on the classics of philosopy: M. Heidegger, "The Life and Time " (1989), I. Kant "The Religion Within the Limits of Reason " (1990).
Teaching is an organic part of his creative life.
Tevzadze as well as in youth is full of energy and creative plans. The diagram of his work is invariable intense. We wish a long life and professional success to prof. Tevzadze.
