In this work the steps of developmet of ethnography in Georgia are discussed. Based on the general ethnographical division into periods, it gives the concrete expression of chronological limits, classification of the history of accumulation of the ethnografical knowledge and development of ethnography in Georgia. Hence, the conception shown in this work is one of the first attempts of division into periods.
