History, Archaeology, Ethnography
Among the various aspects of the complex problem of repatriation of Moslems (deported from Samtskhe-Javaxeti in 1944) historical and ethnic aspects seem to be especially important.
Notwithstanding mutual claims and contradictions between the repatriated contingent and the local population, their ethno-sociological study reveôled certain integration promoting factors.
The existing situation necessitates drawing up a repatriation program based on the complex analysis. It shall promote carrying out well-considered preventive measures, providing smooth integration of the repatriated population.
