The Role of the Fugue Forms in the Georgian Chamber-Instrumental Ensemble

The present article deals with the role of the fugue forms in the chamber-instrumental ensembles by N. Gudiashvili, A. Shaverzashvili, A. Balanchivadze, S. Tsintsadze, R. Gabichvadze, O. Gordeli, K. Rosebashvili, N. Gabunia, V. Azarashvili and Z. Nadareishvili. The article studies the features of these forms: subject, answer, countersubject, intermedias, interval interconnection of introducing voices, architectonics and process development in connection with the musical-content side. It studies the role of the fugue forms in some parts of the ensemble as well as in the whole cyclic composition; also musical-dramaturgical and compositional side of the "Great Polyphonic Form". In conclusion some national specifics of these polyphonic forms are mentioned.
