In article, present stage of the development of modern architecture is reviewed. Analysing modern trends in critique of Western culture, a conclusion is made that after post-modern and deconstruction phases, which had been mostly inspired by penetration of post-structuralist philosophical views into European urban thinking, in Holland at the first place, it is neo-modern movement which takes over contemporary architectural scene of the Western world. At the end it can neither be called a new style, since its secondary role to the formalist modernism of 1920’s ("international style") is more than clear, nor it cannot be named as another impasse on the road of development of modern architecture, because it operates within modern syntax, using spatial and time criteria of today, as opposed to a reactionary essence of post-modern culture.
