After the ending of the Second World War under the recommendation of academician Simon Dzhanashia in Mtskheta archaeologic expedition has arrived Irakli Tsitsishvili - architect, Hero of the Soviet Union. Since that day Irakli Tsitsishvili has actively engaged in studying of the theory and history of architecture. He realized, that without studying the past there can not be a science of today. Besides scientific researches, Irakli Tsitsishvili conducted pedagogical activity till the end of his life.
