History, Archaeology, Ethnography
On the territory of the Kolkheti lowland artificial hills are used for settlements in the Bronze-Early Iron Ages (ca. 24th/23rd-8th/7th centuries B.C.). Such hills are well-spread on both coastal line and in the hinterland. The concentration of the settlements are marked in the basins of Rioni-Pichori, Abasha-Noghela, Enguri-Kodori, Tsivi-Khobi, Choloki-Ochkhamuri, and Qorantastsqali-Munchia.
