An exhibition representing Georgian-European relationships opens at Kutaisi City Library on 25 November 2012 at 17:00. The event is organized by the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, National Center of Manuscripts, National Archives of Georgia, Georgian Library Association and Kutaisi City Library.
The exhibition, featuring Georgian-European relationships, dedicated to Europe Day was held at the National Library in May 2012.
“The success of the exhibition brought us the idea of arranging it in different parts of Georgia. After Kutaisi, citizens of Akhaltsikhe will have the opportunity to visit the Exhibition. Unique books, photographs, manuscripts and documents held in the collections of the National Library, National Center of Manuscripts and National Archives of Georgia will be on display.
“With this exhibition we wish to emphasize that Georgia has always been a part of Europe, and the documents, the exhibition showcase, are pieces of European cultural heritage”- says Emzar Jgerenaya, one of the organizers of the exhibition.
The exhibition will be accompanied by the speeches about Georgian-European relationships. Talks and discussions will be led by experts from the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.
