Chkeidze was a versatile artist. His distinguished characteristics were simplicity, sincerity, and artistic charisma. He played main roles in many famous Georgian plays and films.  He was a creative director of the Tbilisi State Theater of Young Spectators. He was a teacher and producer of the Palace for Pioneers and Students (today Youth Palace); was a creative leader of the Students’ Theater at Tbilisi State University.

Nodar Chkheidze died in 1958. He is buried in Didube Pantheon.
