Raul Chilachava Creative Evening and Exhibition at the National Library

 On October 12 at 18:00, The Conference Hall of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia will host a creative evening of Raul Chilachava. The author's publications held in the collections of the National Library will be on display.

Raul Chilachava was born in Zugdidi, village Chitatskari. From 1965 to 1970, he studied at Tbilisi State University, the faculty of Philology. He has worked in Kiew since he graduated from Taras Shevchenko State University in 1970.

Raul Chilachava has been a member of the Writers' Union of  Georgia and Ukraine, a Honorable Doctor of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, laureate of Galaktion Tabidze, Maxim Rilski, Vladimir Vinichenko, Aleksandr Chak premiums, as well as, the owner of Franc Kafka International Gold Medal.

He is the author of more than 90 works and translations. He has been rewarded with Order of Dignity and different state and international awards
