The 10th Georgian Stand participation in Frankfurt International Book Fair appeared to be the largest. Almost 23 Georgian Publishing houses and 15 Georgian writers took part in public readings and book presentations.
On 4 October, Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and “Georgian Emigration Hall Friends” by Giorgi Kekelidze, the General Director of the National Library, and Rusudan Gorgiladze, the Head of “Georgian Emigration Hall Friends”.
On 4 October, at the initiative of the National Parliamentary Library and with the support of Georgian Patriarchy, National Centre for Manuscripts and Publishing House Intelecti, 226 books including modern and spiritual literature published in Georgia, will be donated to soldiers and officers undergoing military service in Afghanistan.
On 4 October, 1000 books will be donated to Perevi library. The event is organized within the framework of the National Library project envisaging contribution to development of regional libraries especially in conflict zones.
On 29 September, representatives of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia brought 1000 books and arranged library in Duisi, village of Pankisi Gorge.
The event was held within the framework of the project “Electronic Development Syndicate”.
On 28 September, the Central Election Commission of Georgia hosted exhibition “Elections-Making of a Nation”, arranged with the support of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and National Archives of Georgia.
