On 2 December, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and Rustaveli Society by Giorgi Kekelidze, General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, and David Takidze, President of Rustaveli Society.
On 29 November at 15:00, the exhibition “Elections-Making of a Nation” opens at the Parliament of Georgia. Levan Berdzenishvili, Member of Parliament and the organizers of the event: Giorgi Kekelidze, General Director of the National Library, Tamar Zhvania, Director of the CEC of Georgia and Teona Iashvili, Director of the National Archives of Georgia will open the exhibition.
On 25 November, 2013 Mr. John Tsebe, National Librarian and Chief Executive Officer of the National Library of South Africa signed in Pretoria the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Library of South Africa and the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia thus finalizing the formalization of the relations between the two libraries that has been initiated and supported by the Embassy of Georgia in Pretoria. Mr. Giorgi Kekelidze, Director General of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia had signed the Memorandum in September 2013 in Tbilisi.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Library and the National Film Centre by the Giorgi Kekelidze, General Director of the National Library and Nana Janelidze, Director of the National Film Centre, on 22 November at 12:00.
At the initiative of the National Library Anglo-American Reading Hall, British Academy Publications, Very Short Introductions, Oxford Medical Libraries databases are available to the National Library users and employees until 17 December.
