On 21 May, at the initiative of the Georgian Embassy to France, within the framework of the National Parliamentary Library project, Georgian Library opened in Saint King Tamar Church in Paris. The National Library donated over 200 books to the library.
On 8 May, the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia named the winners of Readers Contest. The first place was taken by Erekle Martiashvili, the second by Ketevan Talakhadze and the third by Khatia Chokhonelidze.
On 28 April, the Library Week opened at Tbilisi main library. The event was attended by representatives of Tbilisi and regional libraries. The contest “Represent Your Library” was held within the event.
From 2012 to present, the National Library donated 19 654 books to regional libraries. The process of handing books to municipality libraries was accompanied by different cultural-educational events with participation of local residents, especially young people.
