On 19 September, a memorandum was signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and NGOs “Civic Initiative” and “Marian”. The organizations will implement joint project within the framework of the memorandum.
The National Parliamentary Library of Georgia launched a new initiative, envisaging provision of series of video lectures conducted by Georgian students living abroad. Video materials will be available via National Library television „GeolibTV".
Georgian Book Corner will open at Potsdam University at the initiative of Georgian Students and with the support of the University Administration and the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia. The National Library has already handed books to Potsdam University.
Within the framework of the project “Georgian Book Abroad” the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia donated books to the library of Saint George Georgian School Library in Athens, which is to open very soon.
On 4 September, international conference “Georgian Language and Modern Technologies-2013” opened at the National Library. The event was organized by Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics, Ivane Javakhishvili State University, National Library and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
On 1 August, within the framework of the Georgian Civil Society National Platform for the Eastern Partnership and, on the initiative of "International Foundation for Sustainable Development", the meeting with Gia Dvali was held at the Conference Hall of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.
