On 29 September, Giorgi Kekelidze, the General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, visited the village of Khreiti in Chiatura. The opening of the new library named after Irakli Loladze is planned in several months. Irakli Loladze, who died at the age of 28, worked for the TV company “GDS”.
From 14 September to 14 October, World Fairs, Eighteenth Century Drama and Defining Gender Databases are available to the National Library users via intranet. All digital Collections are part of British digital library, Adam Matthew, bringing together unique digital library collections of English speaking countries in the most innovative way.

The Speaker of Parliament of Switzerland, Mrs. Christa Markwalder visited the National Library. Giorgi Kekelidze, the General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, met with Mrs. Christa Markwalder and presented with a copy of The Knight in the Panter Skin.
The national Library Department of Science Culture and Civic Education launches a new documentary project ”The Second World War in Letters” . By 2017, materials will have been compiled and the database will have been created within the project.
A small-scale library has opened at Khelvachauri Psychoneurological Clinic with the support of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia. According to Giorgi Kekelidze, the General Director of the National Library, the patients who presented a list of desired books will have them soon.
Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and De La Salle University Library (one of the largest libraries in the Philippines). The relations between the parties were established with the help of Honorary Consul of Georgia to the Philippines Thelmo Cunanan.
