A small-scale library has opened at Khelvachauri Psychoneurological Clinic with the support of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia. According to Giorgi Kekelidze, the General Director of the National Library, the patients who presented a list of desired books will have them soon.
Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and De La Salle University Library (one of the largest libraries in the Philippines). The relations between the parties were established with the help of Honorary Consul of Georgia to the Philippines Thelmo Cunanan.
The exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence Restoration of Georgia will be arranged by the representatives of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia at the Foyer of Vazha-Pshavela State Drama Theatre on 18 May.
The National Library depository has been enriched by an important acquisition; the National Library user Natia Sikharulidze handed to the National Library a complete set of journal ‘Kavshiri’ (union) 1918 that she had bought at Bookinist shop earlier.
On 26 April, the National Library announced three winners of literary contest Tsignieri. The three winners: Mariam Kartvelishvili, Tamar Tskhvariashvili, Elene Makharadze and other fifteen finalists were awarded the prizes by the National Library, Bank Republic Societe Generale and publishing house “Books in Batumi”.
Georgian Library has opened in Stockholm at Georgian and Swedish women’s organization “Daisy” with the joint effort of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and Georgian Embassy to Sweden. The library will be enriched by books further.
On April 8, at 12:00, the Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and David Bezhuashvili Education Foundation. According to the memorandum, the biggest Book Museum in Caucasus will be opened in Building I of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia. The project is sponsored by David Bezhuashvili Education Foundation. The project is the most colossal undertaking among the collaborative projects of the organization.
The opening of the Book Museum is supported by the Georgian Industrial Group (GIG).
