National Parliamentary Library starts the nomination for Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Every year the National Library nominates 2 candidates for Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. The (ALMA) is the world's largest prize for children's and young adult literature. The award, which amounts to SEK 5 million (approx 750 USD/525 000 EUR), is awarded annually to one or more recipients.
On 19 March, Giorgi Keklidze, the General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, and Zurab Bubuteishvili, the Executive Director of Company “Sarajishvili”, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
On 15 March, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and Dialogue and Development Foundation, envisaging the patronage of the National Library Children’s Room.
The General Director of the National Library, Giorgi Kekelidze, and the President and Executive Director of the Company Geocell, Pasi Koistinen, will sign the Memorandum of Understanding at the Exhibition Hall of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia on 14 March, at 11:00.
