დაიბადა ქ. ხაშურში. 1924 წელს დაამთავრა თბილისის უნივერსიტეტის სამედიცინო ფაკულტეტი. ცნობილი მედიცინის ისტორიკოსი, ჯანმრთელობის დაცვის ორგანიზატორი, მედიცინის მეცნიერებათა დოქტორი, სადისერტაციო შრომა - „Материалы истории хирургии в Грузии“ (1953), საკანდიდატო დისერტაცია - „პიელორეტროგრაფიის დიაგნოსტიკური ღირებულება“ (1941). პროფესორი. ექიმთა დახელოვნების თბილისის სახელმწიფო ინსტიტუტის სოციალური ჰიგიენისა და ჯანმრთელობის დაცვის ორგანიზაციის კათედრის გამგე.
