დაიბადა ქ. თბილისში. 1914 წელს დაამთავრა პეტერბურგის სამხედრო-სამედიცინო აკადემია. გამოჩენილი თერაპევტი. მედიცინის დოქტორი, სადისერტაციო შრომა - „მასალები ზოგიერთ უმარტივესთა კულტურების შესწავლისათვის" (1937). პროფესორი, მეცნიერების დამსახურებული მოღვაწე. საქართველოს სსრ მეცნიერებათა აკადემიის აკადემიკოსი, თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო ინსტიტუტის პედიატრიული, სანიტარულ-ჰიგიენური ფაკულტეტების საფაკულტეტო თერაპიის კათედრის გამგე, სახელმძღვანელოს ავტორი შინაგან სნეულებებში. საზოგადო მოღვაწე.
