დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო ინსტიტუტის სამკურნალო ფაკულტეტი 1977 წელს.

1980 წლიდან მუშაობს ქირურგიის ინსტიტუტში უმცროს, უფროს მეცნიერ–თანამშრომლად, კონსერვატიული კარდიოლოგიის განყოფილების ხელმძღვანელად. ავტორია 25 სამეცნიერო ნაშრომის. ექიმი–კარდიოლოგი, მედიცინის მეცნიერებათა დოქტორი.

საკანდიდატო დისერტაციის თემა - "Аритмия и их прогностическое значение у больных ибс оперированных", დაიცვა 1986 წელს.

სადოქტორო დისერტაციის თემა - "Значение центральной гемодинамики для выявления скоростной сердечной недостаточности у больных ибс", დაიცვა 1991 წელს.
