დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო ინსტიტუტის სამკურნალო ფაკულტეტი 1980 წელს.

1980–1982წწ. იყო თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო ინსტიტუტის ფტიზიატრიისა და პულმონოლოგიის კათედრის კლინიკური ორდინატორი; 1983–1985წწ. ამავე კათედრის ასპირანტი; 1986 წლიდან აღნიშნული კათედრის ასისტენტი. ავტორია 22 სამეცნიერო ნაშრომის. ფტიზიატრი–პულმონოლოგი, კლინიკური იმუნოლოგი, მედიცინის მეცნიერებათა კანდიდატი.

საკანდიდატო დისერტაციის თემა - "ინდივიდუალიზირებული იმუნოთერაპია ნატრიუმის ნუკლეინატით ფილტვების დესტრუქციული ტუპერკულოზის კომპლექსურ მკურნალობაში", დაიცვა 1993 წელს.
