Biography

ოთარ ხაჩიძე დაიბადა 1927 წელს თელავში. 1949 წელს დაამთავრა საქართველოს სასოფლო–სამეურნეო ინსტიტუტი და დაიწყო მუშაობა სამეცნიერო სფეროში, ხელმძღვანელ თანამდებობაზე. 1980 წლიდან მუშაობდა მცენარეთა ბიოქიმიის ინსტიტუტის დირექტორის მოადგილედ სამეცნიერო დარგში. 1974 წლიდან ბატონი ოთარი არის ბიოლოგიურ მეცნიერებათა დოქტორი. მას ეკუთვნის 70–ზე მეტი სამეცნიერო ნაშრომი.
