multiplier - The numerical factor that describes the clock speed of a CPU (central processing unit) as compared to the system bus clock speed on its motherboard. For example, a 266MHz (megahertz) Pentium attached to a motherboard with a 66MHz system bus is said to have a multiplier of 4 or 4X (66MHz times four is about 266MHz). Some motherboard manufacturers let the user change the multiplier (and the CPU▓s clock speed) in the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) settings, while others require the user to move jumpers on the motherboard. Overclockers increase multipliers when possible to gain performance, if their CPUs will run reliably at the new clock speed.; дс тдрлими цюлютдажкию дроемжки аиакиохдйис лидр http://www.smartcomputing.com/editorial/dictionary/list.asp;
