An evening dedicated to the memory of Grigol Gulbani, famous Georgian alpinist, will be held at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia on 12 May 2013 at 14:00.  

Many mountain legends about legendary alpinist are kept in Svaneti Mountains. Part of them has been lost through generations. The fact, that every year Grigol Gulbani commemorative tournament is held to immortalize his name, is of great importance.

Grigol Gulbani died in 1991. The street in one of Tbilisi districts, where Grigol Gulbani lived in recent years, was named after him.
