On 9 September, the opening of Aviation Week dedicated to Alexander Kartveli (Kartvelishvili) will be arranged at the Exhibition Hall of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia. A memorandum of understanding will be sighed between the National Library and the International Society of Alexander Kartveli.

The Aviation Week organized by the International Society of Alexander Kartveli will last until 19 September. Different events, planned within the Week, will be held in different establishments.  The inauguration of the square named after Alexandre Kartveli and unveiling of his statue are to be held during the week.

The event is supported by the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues, the Office of the State Minister, Tbilisi City Hall, Tbilisi City Council, the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, the National Science Library, the National Archive, the Embassy of the United States to Georgia, TSU Emigration Museum, and the State Military Scientific-Technical Center DELTA.
