The National Library of Georgia hosted the presentation of a new poetry collection by Niko Samadashvili, marking the 120th anniversary of the poet’s birth. The event was opened by the General Director, Konstantine Gamsakhurdia, who described Samadashvili’s work as a "subtle glow of a rare gem," noting the deep innocence and spiritual purity found within his verses.
The publication was prepared by the library’s Kartvelology Department, featuring a bibliography compiled by Nani Matchavariani. The collection’s editor, Gocha Skhiladze, described the poems as "apertures into eternity," while Emzar Jgerenaia emphasized the poet’s profound empathy and the historical significance of his era.
During the event, special gratitude was expressed to the poet’s son, Nugzar Samadashvili, for donating his father’s personal archive to the library.
