On May 20, the National Library of Georgia hosted the presentation of bilingual poetry collections translated by Raul Chilachava: Galaktion Tabidze's "The Moon of Mtatsminda" and Pavlo Tychyna's "The Wind from Ukraine."
The event was opened by the General Director of the National Library, Konstantine Gamsakhurdia, who emphasized the cultural and historical weight of the publication:
"We are gathered here not only to present two extraordinary books, but to celebrate the spiritual closeness, historical friendship, and literary dialogue between two great cultures—Georgian and Ukrainian. These editions are more than just literary texts; they are bridges between nations, cultures, and memories. The central figure of today's event is Raul Chilachava—a prominent Georgian poet, translator, scholar, diplomat, and professor, whose name has long transcended the boundaries of Georgian literature alone. He has dedicated his entire creative and academic life to bringing the Georgian and Ukrainian nations closer together."
Raul Chilachava expressed his gratitude to the National Library of Georgia for its steadfast support and for hosting the publication's presentation.
