100 Books for Understanding Contemporary Japan

4 March, 16:00 – The presentation of "100 Books for Understanding Contemporary Japan” – granted by "Nippon Foundation” (Japan) – took place at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.

 

Japanese experts selected these books as best 100 books for understanding Japan. Economy, business, politics and international relations, as well as art, literature, culture and history of Japan are covered by this set of books.

 

The presentation was attended by His Excellency Masayoshi Kamohara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Georgia; Mrs Masumi Takaragava, Cultural Attache of the Embassy of Japan; Mrs Medea Pirveli, the renowned specialist of Japanese; Mr Giorgi Sanikidze, Director of Institute for Oriental Studies as well as the specialists of Japanese literature.

 

The books will be placed in the Oriental Studies Reading Hall.
