Thanks to the great efforts of the Anglo-American Reading Hall of the National Library of Georgia, the Library's collection has been enriched with an important addition.

A shipment of 65 boxes containing several hundred books, mostly in English, has already arrived at the Library's acquisition department. The books were carefully prepared for shipment and fully transported to Georgia thanks to the generous support of Paul and Chancy Rodzianko, American emigrants who financed the entire process. The new materials include fundamental works, research in various fields, and publications on history, sociology, economics, and travel literature-many of which were previously inaccessible to Georgian readers. Soon, these books will become part of the National Library's collection and be available to everyone. The Anglo-American Reading Hall also plans to create a Travel Literature Corner, based on the Skinner Collection. This remarkable collection was developed over many years by Peter Skinner, a British publicist and historian living in the United States. Skinner first visited Georgia in 2007 and has since been actively involved in promoting Georgian culture. In 2013, he published a book titled "Georgia: A Country Beneath the Caucasus."
In 2024, Skinner donated a selection of Georgian studies literature to the National Library, and just a few days ago, his entire library was gifted to Georgia.
