Exhibition by Keti Todadze at the NPLG
 30/04/2010

April 30 – The visitors of the National Library witnessed a wonderful synthesis of two forms of art – music and painting. Keti Todadze’s personal exhibition at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia was accompanied with the performance by Veka Svanidze’s students.

The NPLG exhibition hall hosted 90 works by Keti Todadze – paintings (still-lives, landscapes, city views) and scenography (scene designs and costume sketches).

The scenography had initially been created for the Nodar Dumbadze Theater plays Romeo and Juliet, Argonauts, and Otarashvili Widow. An interesting synthesis of contemporary and traditional elements was presented by the author in these works.

Meanwhile, the sounds of classical music were filling the hall of the National Library. Veka Svanidze’s students from Zakaria Paliashvili Musical School №1 brilliantly performed masterpieces by Chopin, Schumann and Prokofiev.
