Giorgi Kekelidze, the General Director of the National Library, has been awarded a diploma of Honorary Membership to the International Society of Alexander Kartveli.

On 10 September the National Library hosted the opening ceremony of Aviation Week dedicated to the 40th death anniversary of a prominent aviator Alexander Kartveli (Kartvelishvili).

The scientific conference on The Role of Alexander Kartveli in the USA Military Aviation, and the exhibition featuring photos reflecting work of the famous aviator were arranged at the Exhibition Hall of the National Library within the event.
