Memorandum of Understanding with Georgian-American Association “Kvali”
 13/10/2014

On 13 October, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and Georgian-American Association “Kvali” by Giorgi Kekelidze, General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, and Shota Vashakidze, President of the Association “Kvali”.

The parties will cooperate in the direction of acquisition of Georgian archives. “There has already been some experience of working in this direction which resulted in transferring several interesting archives to Georgia. The Association “Kvali” handed archives of Georgian emigrants to the National Library. These materials are one of the important acquisitions in the history of the library,”-Giorgi Kekelidze.

“The archives of the Georgian Diaspora in America are extremely important, the process of further acquisition continues. Besides, we communicate with this country incorrectly, as we are not familiarized with its culture. Georgian Diaspora in America can do a lot in this respect. Our community members are willing to deliver lectures on international relations, Georgia- USA relations and other issues,”-Shota Vashakidze.
