Local self-government section was open at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia on 30 November 2011. The National Parliamentary Library of Georgia was presented with up to hundred books within the framework of the project by United Nations Development Programme with the supported of Regional Policy, Self-Government and Mountainous Regions Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.

The books will draw interest of students and researchers working on public administration and democratic governance.

The event was attended by representatives of United Nations Development Programme, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Parliament of Georgia, and Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Georgia.
