Presentation of the Renewed Tsiskari

Presentation of the literary magazine Tsiskari will be held at the Exhibition Hall of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia on 30 November 2010 at 17:00.
 
The magazine Tsiskari was established by Giorgi Tsereteli in 1852. Ivane Kereselidze became its editor-in-chief in 1854. The magazine had been published until 1875. It acquainted Georgian classic authors (Ilia Chavchavadze, Akaki Tsereteli, Vazha Pshavela, Grigol Orbeliani, Nikoloz Baratashvili, Niko Nikoladze etc.) to readers during that period. The publishing of Tsiskari was resumed in 1957, and new names appeared on its pages: Nodar Dumbadze, Guram Rcheulishvili, Rezo Inanishvili, Murman Lebanidze, Ana Kalandadze, Mukhran Machavariani.
 
The 160th anniversary of the magazine comes soon. Its redesigned edition has recently been issued two years before the upcoming commemorative celebration.
