On October 7 the Turkish Embassy presented the NPLG with up to 350 books. This transfer took place within the project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey "Turkish Library in Every Country”.

Most of the books are in Turkish, though some of them are in English and German. All the books represent achievements of Turkey in culture and science.

Creation of a new Centre for Eastern Culture is planned after restoration-reconstruction works are completed in the NPLG. The October 7 gift will be a significant enrichment to the centre.

The National Parliamentary Library of Georgia thanks the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey. We hope that Turkey will continue contributing to development of this centre.
