This initiative will raise public awareness of environmental issues and promote eco activism.

The main focus of this agreement will be creation of the integrated database of visuals reflecting environmental activities by different organizations, companies and individuals on the bases of the National Library digital platform.

At this stage, the National Library holds photos, posters, publications of different times, giving just fragmentary information about environmental issues and needs to be supplemented with materials of both old and recent periods. Through the eco-library, everyone will have the opportunity to see and get acquainted with the environmental activities carried out in Georgia at different times and get to know the people involved in it.

Within the framework of the memorandum the National Library undertakes to make its halls available for environmental events temporarily. The organization Keep Georgia Tidy will provide village libraries with educational materials and carry out cognitive environmental activities within the framework of the international project Eco-school.
